ProVen For Women has been developed specifically with women and the female microbiome in mind. It contains three strains of Lactobacillus bacteria, the species that dominates the vaginal microbiome, including two Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus gasseri, which is one of the primary strains found in this area of the female body. Along with 17.5 billion live bacteria, this product also contains cranberry extract and vitamin B6, which helps to support hormonal balance.

The genito-urinary tract contains its own microbiome, which requires a health balance of bacteria to support health in this area of the body.

The genito-urinary tract comprises both the urinary tract and the vaginal tract and both contain a microbiome (bacteria) in the same way as the gastrointestinal tract. Lactobacillus is the primary bacteria species found in the vagina of healthy women and the growth of too many other strains can lead to an imbalance in the natural bacteria of the vagina.
