ORIGAMI | Rework Dripper S

This is the first reused product in the "ReWork" project and is made from recycled porcelain that is crushed during the manufacturing process. The ReWork dripper has the same shape as the existing ORIGAMI dripper, but is very different in its manufacturing process, using 20% crushed recycled porcelain in its production process.

20 ribs (grooves) create space between the dripper and the paper, allowing hot water to drain smoothly, while retaining its functionality to extract a variety of beverages. The ORIGAMI Dripper's simple, streamlined product design gives it a unique "unstable" appearance, which is achieved by using clay mixed with recycled porcelain to bake the product. In order to preserve the unique texture of pottery, we deliberately did not glaze the works, but instead treated them with a matte texture to give them a delicate appearance.

*Since the ReWork dripper is made of recycled ceramic clay, its dimensions are slightly different from traditional ORIGAMI drippers. It is a few millimeters larger than a traditional dripper, but can use the same paper filter and holder.

The vertical grooves of the dripper support extraction
The best feature of the ORIGAMI dripper is its evenly spaced vertical grooves.
20 perfectly calculated grooves ensure that air can pass between the drip-tip and the paper.
This stabilizes the rate at which the hot water flows, supporting the ideal extraction envisioned by the barista.

The ORIGAMI dripper is unique in that it can be used with two types of paper filters: conical and wavy.
Different types of paper can affect the flavor of the coffee you brew.
When using a wave coffee machine, the layer of coffee grounds is thinner and the hot water takes less time to pass through the coffee grounds, resulting in a more even and stable extraction.
When using a conical coffee machine, the layer of ground coffee is thicker than that of a wave coffee machine, and the extraction quality of the top and bottom ground coffee will be different.
This results in a complex, rich flavor in the extracted coffee.

Even for the same type of coffee, the brewed coffee will taste different depending on the type of paper filter used.
