THE TRADITION OF “800M”.
「捌億」, which is Chinese for “800 million”, is a concept we hold dearly to our hearts. Not only is it a concept from a movie “Fat Choi Spirit” that we grew up watching every year during Lunar New Year, it also represents our traditional saying of keeping rich at heart and be content with all we have, as things will take its course even during the toughest times. This year, we are honored to be able to pair up with renowned artist Jonathan Jay Lee in coming up with 3 special mahjong labels for this edition, and by combining the three labels you will not only have a set of the red, green and white dragon, but also the full original illustration created for this bottle. We hope to celebrate the new year of Rabbit in 2023 with lots of (mahjong) winnings, fun and laughter, and we hope this special year will bring forth opportunities to “jump”, to grow and to hug our love ones, close and afar. N.I.P wishes everyone a wealthy, healthy and exciting year of Rabbit!
CONCEPT, INGREDIENTS AND TASTING NOTES.
This year, the Year of Rabbit 800M special edition again combines a new set of 8 botanicals, inspired by ingredients traditionally indulged during the festivities of Lunar New Year. They include, Tieguanyin (a premium Chinese oolong tea named after the Iron Goddess of Mercy), osmanthus, aged tangerine peels, juniper berries, mandarin peels, almonds, black dates and ginger. The result is a fragrant and refreshing spirit led by the elegant flora of osmanthus and Tieguanyin, supported by the citrus of mandarins and aged tangerine peels and spices from the juniper berries, perfect for pairing with all sorts of delicacies this Lunar New Year. N.I.P wishes you 800M, all the best of luck, health and wealth, and a prosperous Year of Rabbit this 2023!
